Bloomsbury Digital Resources platforms provides usage statistics to customers in accordance with the
COUNTER Code of Practice.
COUNTER Release 5.1 (R5.1) and
COUNTER Release 5.0 (R5) reports are available to subscribing institutions on a monthly basis, covering usage data from the previous month, via our
Administrator Portal (username and password required). Existing administrator credentials remain valid. If you need a username and password please
contact us.
Subscribing institutions can also use our
SUSHI service for automated retrieval of COUNTER usage statistics. Please
contact us to request your credentials and information on using this service.

Why are my usage statistics changing?
COUNTER Release 5.1 is the latest Code of Practice and introduces improvements to clarity, consistency, and Open Access reporting. Bloomsbury now provides R5.1 reports while continuing to supply R5 (5.0) reports in parallel during the transition period until March 2026.

Where I can access my COUNTER reports?

Where can I access usage statistics (COUNTER reports) for Bloomsbury Design Library, Bloomsbury Applied Visual Arts, Bloomsbury International Encyclopedia of Surrealism and Bloomsbury Architecture Library?
As these four sites are now part of the main Bloomsbury Visual Arts hub they no longer have their own URL/domain for COUNTER purposes. Each collection will instead be a database within Bloomsbury Visual Arts on the COUNTER 5 Database reports.
All COUNTER usage for these collections will come via the Bloomsbury Visual Arts COUNTER API key and any COUNTER 5 usage prior to the migration in March 2023 (November 2023 for the Bloomsbury Architecture Library) will be available under a separate collection entry.

For COUNTER 5, the following reports are available:
- DR: Database Master Report
- DR_D1: Database Search and Item Usage
- Platform Master report - PR
- Platform Usage – PR_P1
- Title Master Report- TR
- Book Requests (excluding "OA_Gold") - TR_B1
- Book Access Denied - TR_B2
- Book Usage by Access Type - TR_B3
